When you watch a fireworks display, you might only see 5–10 minutes of fireworks in the sky.

Behind those few minutes, however, there can be weeks of planning.

For a professional display, one of the first things we look at is the location. We need to consider where the fireworks can safely be fired from, where spectators will be standing, surrounding buildings, roads, trees and other features of the site.

We also work with the event organiser or venue to make sure everything is properly coordinated.

There is then the paperwork.

Professional displays in Northern Ireland require the appropriate licensing, and we prepare the necessary safety documentation and site information as part of the process.

Once everything is approved, the display itself can be designed around the event, location and budget.

On the day, there is still plenty to do before the first firework leaves the ground. Equipment has to be positioned, fireworks prepared, firing systems checked and the site made ready.

Then comes the part everyone has been waiting for…

So while the display itself might only last a few minutes, a professional fireworks display is really the result of careful planning, preparation and coordination.
