Why Do Firework Displays Need to Be Booked So Far in Advance?

One of the most common questions we get is:

“Can you do a fireworks display in a couple of weeks?”

Unfortunately, professional displays aren’t something that can normally be arranged at the last minute.

A lot happens before we arrive at your event.

The first step is making sure the location is suitable. Every venue and event site is different, so we need to look at things such as firing positions, spectator areas, surrounding properties and the space available.

There is also licensing and safety paperwork to complete.

For displays in Northern Ireland, applications need to be submitted in advance and there are a number of details that need to be confirmed before the display can go ahead.

For weddings, we will normally also communicate directly with the venue or wedding coordinator, taking one more job off the couple’s list.

Booking early also gives us more time to design the display properly rather than simply trying to fit something into a short timeframe.

Our advice?

If you know the date of your event, don’t wait until you have every other detail finalised before asking about fireworks.

Get in touch early and we can explain the process.

Professional displays require a minimum 8-week lead time — early booking recommended.
